Hester How Early Learning Centre, located in Toronto City Hall, is a non-profit workplace early learning centre dedicated to providing a warm, loving environment that nurtures, educates, and provides guidance to the young children in our care. While you are at work, our educators provide education along with the warmth and stimulation your child needs, and we are available before and after your working day, or at lunchtime to talk to you. One tremendous advantage of a workplace centre is that you are close to your child. This means that you can easily visit your child during the day. We welcome family visits. In fact, family members often drop in to take their child out for lunch, or just to have a quick peek.
We believe that a quality early learning centre requires family involvement. That's why getting to know you is just as important to us as developing a relationship with your child.
You may consider standing for office on the Centre's Board of Directors. Our parent-driven Board and its committees are a source of our strength. Board members are active in the development of policy, programs, fundraising and promotional campaigns and of course, in overseeing our financial statements.
All parents/guardians are invited to attend Board meetings, which are usually held once a month.
We encourage you to take full advantage of all that the Centre has to offer and we hope that you'll make us part of your extended family. Hester How Early Learning Centre is licensed through the Ministry of Education and has a purchase of services agreement with the City of Toronto's Children's Services division, which makes our care available to families receiving subsidies.
Hester How Early Learning Centre is currently accepting applications for preschool and kindergarten enrolment for FALL 2024
